- It started very young, I got my first cassette, by Neil Diamond, when I was 10 years old.
Then I knew immediately, for any occasion I would no longer ask for toys but music.
- When I was 12, I got my first mixer, 2 Lenco turntables and pack of records (discarded from a jukebox).
- At 16, I got to play for the first time as a Dj at a T-dansant.
- I had (and still have) 3 passions; computer science, basketball and music.
- I studied, electronics and computer science. Then later, I got graduated as a cook and hotel management.
- At 18, I played champion with Royal Fresh Air in 1st National Basketball
( I am the No. 12 in this 1979 photo, I was just 18 at the time).

Also during my Army service in the Air Force, I was part of the National basketball team.
- When I was 20, so in 1981 I took over a store in the center of Aalst, I personally rebuilt it into one of
the most modern dance halls at that time, Discotheque Smash.
More than 4,000 LEDs on the walls, infinity mirrors, 3 TV screens and a super light and laser show.
I also invested in Klips speakers and as a result I had a powerful, sublime and pure sound.
I was the first in Belgium to put video clips on the screens and the first to show Thriller by MJ.
After visiting some large discotheques in the U.S., I brought a new trend, "Beat mixing."
I also learned to present according to my 2 great examples; Dick van Gelder and Ben Liebrand.
Thus, "The Smash" grew into a well-known nightclub with a super pleasant dance atmosphere.
Photos from 1983, the interior of Discotheque Smash and myself as Dj Johnathan.
- In the meantime, I was a member of DMC, which stood for Disco Mix Club, regarded as one of the most exclusive club for.
Dj's So we could play new singles before they were even released, the unique mixings were also great.
- In the continuation of my Dj career I have played in many places in all these years.

- At the age of 54, I repeated the experience of my 20s. I took over a café in the center of Aalst and
single-handedly converted it into a discotheque, again with the latest technologies, now everything computer-controlled.
- After 7 years, I left the business and retired.
- I moved to Spain and given my years of experience and music knowledge, I would like to stay active as a Dj in Spain
  for many years to come.
- For all parties, party's, events and in any music style and this both for young and old I am ready
to make it an unforgettable party.
